I appologise for not doing an entry in a few weeks now but to be quite frank this class is becoming more and more unproductive as the weeks go on. We had a visit from a photography lecturer which to be perfectly honest wasnt very informative from a musicians point of view. The class has now become a drop in to alow us to prepair for our design deadline on the 7th, I am realy unsure for weather on not i am goining to make this deadline as i havnt seen my designer in over 2 weeks and college got canceled this week becouse of the heavy snow. So yeah all in all not having a great time in this class!

This past week has been far too unproductive for my liking... my art student didnt attend class on tuesday so i have absolutely no idea as to how things are going.

Over the past week I have been working on my case study and to be honest im finding it quite hard. Hopefully I will make the deadline tomorrow. As for my artwork me and Ollie bounced some ideas around for a logo and we came up with the idea of an eye. We were meant to be taking photos on friday but that had to be cancelled as the studio was already booked, he is coming to take photos tonight though at a gig that I am playing in Perth so hopefully we get some good live shot out of that.

This Week I have been pushing myself to define the faith of Rastafarianism for my dissertation meeting tomorrow. To be perfectly honest I am finding it a lot harder than I thought I would. The book that I am using is goo but not consistent enough so I have started searching through journals to find more information on the topic. Hopefully I shall have something to show tomorrow.

Well this past couple of week we haven't achieved much because of Ollie being off so not been able to do much design wise. This week i completed my mood board and was very happy with it. I have begun my research into my case study and i thing im going to do it on Biffy Clyro but this may change.

I will Talk more next week and hopefully i will have more news

This week I met with Ollie on tuesday to discuss possible logo and album designs. We have started to narrow it down to a possible three and hopefully I shall have some designs to see soon. I have also finished my proposal so here it is:

Over the course of the year we aim to achieve a wide range of designs forth with the theme of Reggae. To do this we will look at the history, influences of artists on each other while for focusing on me as an artist. We aim to create a unique design for an album/dvd cover and poster for promotional purposes. We shall be making a schedule in order to organise ourselves for meeting times to discuss ideas. Along with this we shall also be doing photo shoots to add ideas in conjunction with the proposed design. We shall be keeping a video diary to document our progress throughout the course of this project. Our first task is to achieve a stylistically accurate logo design for me. This design should be in keeping with the theme of Reggae. We shall them design and complete an album cover and dvd cover to present a final piece. Following this we shall create and complete ideas for a poster to be used for advertisement of my reggae performance. All of this shall be achieved with in the specified time period to meet all allocated dead lines.

This week i was only able to have a very brief meet with Ollie as he had an exam to get to but he seems to be on the ball when it comes to design. He has already started brain storming ideas and we have chosen one to run with show he is producing me a better mock up of the design for me to approve. Hopefully get a meeting with him next week.
